What is Bring the Heat, Indianapolis?

Bring the Heat, Indianapolis is a city-wide program that provides free heating services to elderly/disabled, low-income homeowners in the Indianapolis area to insure proper furnace operation and save lives. Volunteers provide no cost furnace clean-and-check services to homeowners. Volunteers provide a ray of sun light, a smile, and a helping hand to people who need it the most.

Bring the Heat Program Facts

  • The Heating and Air Conditioning Alliance of Indiana Bring the Heat program does not receive any government funding and relies solely on volunteers for donations of funds, labor, equipment, and parts.
  • Bring the Heat, Indianapolis can dramatically improve the quality of life for elderly, low income, and disabled homeowners in the Indianapolis area.
  • Alliance volunteers have donated time, money, and parts to this program and in eight years have completed over 550 no cost furnace clean and checks and replaced over 38 furnaces.
  • It is estimated that there are thousands of homeowners in Marion County who do not have a safe source of heat for their homes.
