Thanks to the entire staff at Appel Heating and Air Conditioning for the great service I received last week.

Our air conditioner went out during a brief 90 degree heat wave. Tarrah got someone out to our house within 2 hours of my call. Rob came out and was very professional and efficient and diagnosed the problem quickly. Unfortunately the part had to be ordered in but when it arrived, Rob came right out and fixed the problem.

But while we had to wait for two days for the part to arrive, you offered to bring out a couple of window air conditioners for us to use to make our home more comfortable.  That is going above and beyond what is required.

And finally, the pricing for the job was MORE than fair.

“Above and beyond”

Our A/C failed on Friday morning, and we were going into one of the hottest weekends of the summer. The Appel tech came same day to diagnose the problem. After discovering our compressor was shot, the sales team came out to our house after normal business hours to go over costs and options. Once we agreed that a new unit was to be installed, the tech went back to their office and brought us some window units to help get us through the hot weekend (they were pretty old, but took the edge off in the upstairs bedrooms).

Install happened on Monday morning and the installers arrived promptly. The service was excellent and they went above and beyond. For example, the installers thought they smelled natural gas in our basement, investigated, and found a small gas leak on our main line. They let us know and did not charge us to repair. I have had other installers in our basement recently, and none of them demonstrated that kind of quality (you get what you pay for).

I would recommend Appel for any HVAC issues.

I would like to express my thanks to you and your employees who gave us extraordinary service. During one of our big snows last month, our furnace went  out in the evening, and our house was getting cold. The company that installed it and had our maintenance warranty, gave up because of the weather. We arranged to go to a hotel, but could not get through our unplowed street.

I had heard several favorable comments from our friends and neighbors regarding your company, so I called to ask for help. Your people responded in less than an hour. One of your Sales Representatives used his personal 4-wheel drive vehicle to get a repairman through the snow-clogged road. They had the furnace working in about 20 minutes.

We have lived in Carmel for over 30 years and are quite active here. You can be sure we will be recommending your company to our friends and associates. Please give our gratitude to your employees, Rick and Nate.

Extremely well. The technician went through his diagnosis in an efficient manner and found the problem with the unit. (I had another company come look earlier and they were there for over 3 hours and decided I needed new equipment). The problem was repaired and the technician explained to me what he was doing and what can cause that part to go bad. We’ve got cold air now and also signed up for a service plan based on the good service.
